Marshaling Resources

Standard

You ever have a day that you just want to call it in? Today was that day for me.

The intention was to be somewhat productive today, but as the day progressed, that will got weaker and weaker, and was finally lost altogether amid a flurry of computer games.

Tomorrow there will be shopping and laundry, things that we should have done today, but we chose instead to have a day off to enjoy one another’s company. It’s a small thing, really, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed teaming with my wife to fight zombies in Maine. We don’t team that often, and I love it when we do, regardless of the game.

I did complete my checklist today – I’m on a two month long streak of full marks currently – so that’s not being forgotten. But our trip on Tuesday is going to be a rough one for both of us, and I believe both of us are marshaling our mental and emotional resources in preparation for what we anticipate during the trip. We’re only out there for two days, essentially. We fly out Tuesday night, late enough to just go to the hotel room and get some sleep and we’re due back at the airport Friday mid-morning, so there’s going to be enough time for packing and breakfast.

Looking forward to having this week behind me.
